Jaffa Lam Laam at the exhibition Tales of the South at He Art Museum (15/04/2024)

The complex situation of Southern China nourishes undefinable art forms. When we talk about localities, we would inevitably fall into the framework of identities and regional styles. Dissociation has become the last solution. This exhibition attempts to present the fluctuating side of southern art over the past one hundred and fifty years. Tales of the South examine how the changes of context, medium, and institutional system influenced the art scene in the South.
